March 15, 2006 -- This special occasion celebrates the contribution of Hungary and its people to democracy. The event marks three important milestones in Hungarian history: the 1848 Democratic Revolution, the 1956 Anti-Communist Revolution, and the Opening of the Iron Curtain between Hungary and Austria in 1989.
